What life coaching packages do you offer? What do they cost? Where can I find out more about them?

I am currently offering:

Two life coaching packages (Your Best Life and Authentic Goals) (8 sessions each, 60 minute sessions)

Bundle Pack (3 sessions, 90 minute sessions)

Individual sessions (90 minute sessions)

While I am getting certification hours,, the investment in the two packaged programs is $125 (total for all 8 sessions in the package you choose), the Bundle Pack is $70, and the Individual sessions are $25. (The Bundle Pack is for clients who want to continue with coaching after they complete one of the 8 session packages.)

During our complimentary meet and greet intro session, we can talk about which option feels right for you. To find out more about each of the packages, please visit Your Best Life and Authentic Goals.

What is your coaching philosophy?

In a nutshell, I listen and ask questions. If you think about it, everyone you talk to has an agenda – they want you to act or be a certain way – a way that makes them happy or tries to make you happy.  They are motivated to “fix you” or your problems.  I am, in the nicest way possible, not. My role as coach is to curiously ask questions that guide you to look within and find answers. I am not going to tell you what is best for you. I can’t solve your problems. I can only engage in a dialogue with you that allows you to explore alternative ways of thinking that may feel better to you. Only you can know what is best for you and I respect that completely.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Coaching differs from counseling or therapy in many ways. The main difference is that coaching focuses on the present and where you want to go from here, and most therapy focuses on the past and how you got here.

Martha Beck often says, “A Life Coach can be thought of as the behavioral equivalent of a personal trainer. A therapist, like a physician, works with unwell people to restore them to health. A Life Coach works with healthy people to help them achieve maximum ‘fitness’ — that is, well-being and quality of life.

Do you only work with women?

No, I am happy to work with people of all genders and sexes. I primarily work with women though, as I have dedicated my education and career to working on what are generally thought of as women’s issues.

(I was a Women’s Studies major in graduate school, and minor in college, where I focused on women’s health and sexuality and campus sexual assault and teen dating violence. I went on to teach Women’s Studies at the undergraduate level, and then went to work at the Office on Violence Against Women at the U.S. Department of Justice for almost 7 years.)

Will we meet in person or over the phone?

All of our coaching will be over the phone. As long as you have access to a phone or computer, we are good to go.

What can I expect during the complimentary meet and greet/intro session?

During this 30-minute call, I will ask you what brought you to me, and I will tell you more about the packages and what you can expect of our sessions. I will answer any questions you may have. I encourage you to talk to a few different coaches you think you might want to work with - coaches are like slippers: you want a comfortable fit.
